The Wide Format Company is continuously researching new materials and production processes that allow us to provide a “green” solution to our customers. We have a number of medias that you can purchase for your own equipment and we can provide printing services using these same eco-friendly materials. This a short list of products that we currently have available.
Recycled Plotter Paper - BUY NOW! (30% Post Consumer) SFI Certified - Sustainable Forestry Initiative Recycled Copier/Press Paper (30% Post Consumer) FSC Certified - Forest Stewardship Council The following media are printed on using MUBIO inks. Plant based Bio-Friendly ink that emits no odor or VOCs. This ink is also biodegradable and recyclable. Bio-Flex Banner Vinyl (Biodegradable) 15oz PVC Banner material that breaks down in landfill conditions within 3-5 years. Available in a textured gloss finish or semi-textured matte finish. Duraplast Foamboard (Recyclable & Biodegradable) Waterproof foamboard that has a strong shell like Gatorboard. Is also rated Recyclable Code #6. Biodegradation within 1-5 years. Download Duraplast - Spec Sheet EcoBoard 50pt White (Recyclable) Thin 50pt cardboard with white coated surface. Great for indoor use. Foamcore (Biodegradable) Foam board with coated top surface. Indoor use.
Sintra / Foamacell (Biodegradable) Thick plastic sign material. Great for indoor and outdoor. Styrene / EcoPlast (Biodegradable) Thin plastic sign material. Great for indoor and outdoor. PolyBanner (Recyclable) 10mil Banner film designed for outdoor use. Can be hemmed and grommeted. Plastic recycle code 7. Very affordable. Corex / Coroplast (Recyclable) Corrugated plastic yard sign material. Great indoor and outdoor. BioStick (Biodegradable) This is a permanent adhesive matte finish printable vinyl material. Create adhesive back posters or stickers for short term events. Design complete window coverings to advertise your business up to 1 year. Heat assist removal. Is 100% biodegradable. EcoBacklit (Recyclable) This is a high quality recyclable backlit film. Printed with our eco-solvent ink which produce no harmful gases. |
Valeron (Recyclable) This plastic paper like media. Very strong like vinyl. Great for indoor and outdoor. 1/4" HoneyCore (Recyclable & Biodegradable) This thick honeycomb core cardboard has a white surface and can be printed on using our eco-friendly inks. It's made with 30% post consumer paper and it's very rigid. The surface is ultra smooth. It's a great alternative to Gator Foam. The printed product is still 100% Recyclable and Biodegradable. FSC Certified. 3/16" DoubleWall White Cardboard (Recyclable & Biodegradable) This nice corrugated cardboard that has a white surface and can be printed on using our eco-friendly inks. It's made with 60% post consumer paper and it's ridged. The surface is smooth but you can still see slight ridges from the corrugated core. It's a great alternative to Gator Foam and Foamcore. The printed product is still 100% Recyclable and Biodegradable. 50/50 BioBanner (Biodegradable) This ultra smooth banner material is designed for short term outdoor events and long term indoor. Printed on with eco-friendly inks 50/50 is a great alternative to PVC solutions. Made with 50% post consumer recycled content the material is durable and biodegradable. 4mm Corrugated BioPlast (Biodegradable) This nice corrugated plastic sign material is exactly like your typical Corex or Coroplast yard signs. However, it's designed to be biodegradable. Ideal for short term sign applications that need to be around for 6 months or less. BioMatte and BioGloss Lam (Biodegradable) This is a biodegradable graphic lamination material. Protect any graphic scratches and dirt. A pressure sensitive cold mount lamination. The BioGloss will work with dry erase so you can create sign that can be customized by you daily. Apply on top of any biodegradable print material and you have yourself a completely biodegradable finished graphic. Great to finish trade show graphic which are often used only once. |
